A lot of us have lost friends and family that we truly care about over the stance we took on this mission. I have been asked what are the best ways to mend bridges with those once they realize we were right. My first gut reaction was omg…why are you asking me….because I suck at repairing things in my own life. Besides if you are like me at all, when angry or unsteady I act in a manner just the opposite of what I am truly feeling, which of course makes things so much more difficult. So because it is my job to help find answers for the frog family, I started researching. I read and read and some of the answers seemed logical but a bit cold and calculating. That is not what I would want if the shoe was on the other foot. So perhaps a bit blending would be best.

So let’s figure all this out together. First off, we know everyone is an individual and no “one size fits all” way will work for everyone. So where do we begin? Beats me…but lets apply some logic first. Are we sure we want to mend the bridges? Do we know if they want to mend the bridges. Ok lets assume we both decide we truly do love each other enough and its worth a try. Next thing hmmmm how bad was the break up? How many things do we need to walk back or apologize for? Good luck with that part. Assuming we have decided we truly love them enough to go thru this ordeal then we need to try to keep emotions to a minimum. Oh crap! I haven’t mastered that part yet but am working diligently on it. So we state our facts and truths calmly being totally prepared with our proof. Remember these folks were just shocked into admitting that we were right. So we add in some compassion and a dash of understanding. We take one “topic” at a time. We don’t try to bring them up to par all at once. To accomplish that we must actually not only ask them where they want to start but we must actually listen to their response. We address one item at a time. We don’t overwhelm them. We take it at a pace that they can handle. If you don’t know the particular answer they are needing, admit to them that you are unsure and then you both can research the answer together. Go down the list of their questions but don’t try to get it all done at one time. Most importantly we need to be extremely patient with them. They were asleep and now trying to shake awake in a rapid timeframe. Remember, as with any and all arguments, reassuring them that they are deeply loved may help lessen the pent up anger. If you truly love them please keep reassuring them that you will help them understand it all and that you do love them even if it takes more time than you would like. We know some people (I heard it was predicted 4-6%) of being shown the truth and all the proof will still choose not to believe. At that point you just tell them that when they are ready to learn, you will be there for them.

I truly am uneasy in giving any advice in this post because as I said, when it comes to conflict or arguing with my loved ones, most of the time I have let my emotions run rampart but now being made more aware of that, it should be a lot easier consciously keeping them under control. What it comes down to is do you feel that they are worth your effort to fight for them? Some may say a big resounding NO. Most will say let’s give it a try. I say, if I love them as deeply as I believe….I am in it for the long haul and will fight (perhaps not the best word here) to fix it because my love for them is much stronger and deeper than my need to feed my ego or even the need to be “right”. So frogs, let’s get this worked out before it is time to need it. That time may be approaching rapidly. We know we love them, let’s at least try to make things right for not only ourselves but because love is even much stronger after conflicts have been resolved and everyone’s cards are on the table. I’m sure the “professionals” may not like my “advice” or tactics but I prefer to believe everything is possible when you trust in the love. I have a very simple belief on this subject….if I love someone, I will move mountains to let them know they are loved unconditionally. If conditions are put on love, then is it a true love? I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion on that answer. Don’t worry. In the end, you will find the answers and methods on finding the right way to reconnect with those you truly love.

We are Flynn’s F.R.O.G.s and fully reliant on God. Truly believing and trusting in that statement will get you through even the toughest of times because we know God has our back. All we ever need to do is ask God for guidance. He never ignores your requests. God bless you all.

Monday Blessings Family! I learned the lesson of JOY early in my life and many call me a 'Polly Anna" - My joy comes from God - "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness". I start my mornings with music - and one of my favorites is, "Great is thy Faithfulness" - I know that my joy does not come from all that I have - it is because of God's love that I do have joy! May you find joy in this day - in your life and in those around you! P.S. Tacos - Tacos do bring me joy also!

Patriots and Frog Family

We have been through so much together……yet we still stand united. All signs are pointing that this will be a very busy week ahead of us. I need you all to know that you are not alone. We have formed this amazing frog family together. We have already shown we are here for one another. That won’t change as we enter into the new phase of this adventure. We need to stay united. Nothing can defeat us as long as we do.

I ran across a story to help one of our frog teachers explain victimhood to her students. I think it explains the conditioning that we have all been through in the simplest way. I want to share it so bare with me.

“When walking through an elephant camp, a man noticed that the elephants were only secured with a small rope that was tied around one ankle. He wondered why the elephants didn’t break free from the rope, as the elephants were certainly strong enough to do so. He asked a trainer why the elephants didn’t try to break free, and the trainer responded by saying that they use the same size rope for baby elephants all the way up to adulthood. Because they’re too small when they’re babies to break free from the rope, they grow up being conditioned that the rope is stronger than they are. As adults, they think the rope can still hold them, so they don’t try to fight it.

The Moral:

The elephants in this case are experiencing learned helplessness. This phenomenon occurs when someone has been conditioned to anticipate discomfort in some way without having a way to avoid it or make it stop. After enough conditioning, the person will stop any attempts to avoid the pain, even if they see an opportunity to escape.

If you go through life thinking that you can’t do something just because you have failed at doing it in the past, you’re living with a fixed mindset. You have to let go of your limiting beliefs in order to make the breakthroughs that are required for your ultimate success. Don’t let other people tell you that you can’t do something, and don’t hold onto an assumption that you can’t grow and learn from past failures.”

This hits home for me personally in so many ways. I let the past trap me and convince me that I can’t break the cycle. Yes!!! I could always break the cycle. I always had the power. I just needed something powerfully painful for me to see just what was really important to me. Many of us woke up and said enough of this bullshit conditioning. We went forward. We grew. For me personally, I still have a lot of growing to do but I will never let anyone condition me to be a victim again. Nor will I hold on to the past that were my personal ropes. We are all leaders in this movement. We are the future. We will be the knowledge and wisdom givers. There are still so many that wont even try no matter how much truth you put before them. You just need to passionately want to move forward as a free leader in this new world and spread the truth….the real facts.

We are Flynn’s F.R.O.G.s and fully reliant on God. We are so far ahead of a lot of folks. Let’s keep searching for the truth and be ready to share that knowledge with our kids, grandkids and future generations. I will gladly take on that responsibility to never become a victim or let my past hold me back. I look forward to this upcoming new adventure. I’m holding out my hand…who’s with me?
